MONDAY 9 MAY 2016 AT 7.30PM
Halcyon Books, 266 Lee High Road, SE13 5PL

Halcyon BooksLewisham and Greenwich have designated the Lee Forum and now it’s time to hold our first AGM.

The Localism Act of 2011 which came into effect in April 2012 gives communities the opportunity to form neighbourhood forums to “further the social, economic and environmental well-being of individuals in a neighbourhood area” and to “promote the carrying on of trades, professions or other businesses in an area”.

We will develop a Neighbourhood Plan which will strengthen our community’s voice in local planning matters, including the ability to design planning policies for our area which will then guide Council decisions about future planning applications. The Forum’s policies carry the same legal weight as those designed by Councils and Central Government.

Anyone who lives here, works in or uses our area is welcome to join the Lee Forum and to come along to the AGM.

If you are responsible for a local group please publicise this event to your members — thank you.
