Lee Green Lives’ AGM is 12 Sep

Lee Green (Lives) at the crossroads: Our biggest year yet

For the hundreds of users and a score of volunteers who help make the community centre at Leegate a success, this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is really important. Here’s why:

  1. The new Leegate scheme will provide us with a new centre.
  2. Leybridge and other Affinity Sutton (now Clarion) estates in the area are coming in with us.
  3. We need to re-shape our future to meet your needs and wishes.

Come along to Lee Green Lives’ AGM and find out more about what’s in store and how you can take part in planning what the future holds for all of us.

When: Tuesday 12 September 7.30pm (doors open 7.15pm)

Where: Lee Green Community Centre, Leegate (opposite Iceland)

It’s open to all residents in the Lee Green area!

Who and what is Lee Green Lives?

Some of you won’t have heard of us or what we do. We’re a community group set up in 2010 to bring life back to Leegate and ensure local people had a say in its redevelopment. We became a charity in 2011.

We offer a wide range of activities, including computer and language classes, healthy exercises, knitting, sewing, coffee & chat, and activities for people with learning disabilities.

In addition, we provide advice and information for people in need of support – housing, benefits, employment, disability and mental health.

Find out more and come to the meeting. If you’re interested, you might also:

  • Join an existing activity or help start a new one.
  • Volunteer to help in the Centre or support one of the sessions.
  • Become a trustee and help manage the centre.
