Campaign for Play Streets in Lee Green

PlayStreetsWidgetCould our children play on traffic-free streets?

Join our campaign to turn a Lee Green street into a Play Street.

Play Streets is a national initiative which aims to allow children to play traffic free for a few hours every month or so (can be anything from weekly to a few times a year). Other London boroughs have introduced this but Lewisham hasn’t managed it yet, although they say they will support people who want to do it.

Fernbrook Road families are very keen to do it a few times a year but have been told the buses can’t be stopped, even though this would only be for a few hours 2-3 times a year (most likely on a Sunday afternoon). Other streets such as Taunton Road have also expressed an interest. Further info can be found here.
