Intake
Nursery.
The nursery has 24 places for children aged 3 and 4 years. You can apply for a place after your child has had their second birthday. Children may start in the nursery after the age of 3 years. You can collect and complete an application form from the school any day from Monday to Friday between 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.

Reception class: Each year the school takes in 3 classes of 30 children. Brindishe Green has become a very popular school and is now oversubscribed. For each place there are several applicants. Nursery: The school offers part time places – a morning or an afternoon, with one extra session per week. The nursery class has 22 places in each session. The majority of children start nursery in the September after their 3rd birthday. Some places may become available at other times of the year if children leave during the year. Nursery: The nursery offers 15 hours of provision in the following way: 8.55-11.25am every day and 1 – 3.30pm on one allocated day
or 1-3.30pm every day and 8.55-11.25am on one allocated day. Application forms are available from the school office or from the school website. You can fill out the application and give it in to the school in advance. Offers are sent out at the beginning of May, so you are advised to get your application in before then.

Primary school: 30 places available. When more than 30 applications are received, the places are allocated according to the criteria listed below in order of priority:

(1) Children who are looked after or were previously looked after.

(2) Children with an exceptional medical or social need for this particular school .

(3) Children who have siblings in the school at the time of entry.

80% of places are open to anyone and the principal criteria will be distance from the school. The remaining 20% of places are for families who attend first a Church of England Church (with priority to those attending the two nearest local Church of England Parishes) and then any other Christian Church regularly.

St Winifred’s Catholic Junior School is a Voluntary Aided school in the Archdiocese of Southwark. It was founded by the Catholic Church to provide education for children of Catholic families. It admits 45 pupils each year. Pupils from St Winifred’s Infants School have an automatic right of entry.

Thre is an automatic right of transfer from St Winifred’s Infant School for Year 2 children to St Winifreds Junior School. There is no automatic place for transfer to the Infants school for those with places at the Nursery.

Colfe’s is one of the oldest schools in London. The parish priest of Lewisham taught the local children from the time of Richard Walker’s chantry, founded in 1494, until the dissolution of the monasteries by Henry VIII. Rev. John Glyn re-established the school in 1568 and it was granted a Charter by Elizabeth I in 1574. Abraham Colfe became a Governor in 1613 and the school was re-founded bearing his name in 1652.

The school takes pupils from 3-18 years. The Senior School (Years 7-13) is situated in Horn Park Lane and comprises approximately 700 pupils. In Years 7-11 each year contains five classes of approximately 20 pupils, averaging 100 pupils per year. The Sixth Form (Years 12 & 13) averages between 160 and 180 students.

Trinity is a Christian school with an Anglo-Catholic culture that reflects its affiliation with the Woodard schools, some of the top independent schools in the country. Students are taught in sets in the lower school and the top set is the Grammar stream, made out of approximately the top 25 students in the year group.
